Handmade Polymer clay brooch – floral antique frames |These brooches feature individually moulded flower petals that have been carefully assembled into flowers on a stainless steel brooch cabochon that has been filled with polymer clay in a granite effect as the base, the first design is a flower with the petals in teh colours of the trans flag (stay tuned, there will be brooches coming in lots of pride flag colours, in the meantime my inbox is always open for customs) the second features blue petals that are a bit smaller and in a more lotus themed floral arrangement |Each brooch is hand made and painted making every piece a unique one-off creation.
I work predominantly with polymer clay, the chemistry student in me loves it because it’s a thermoplastic that’s completely mouldable until you bake it, at which point it becomes a strong, sturdy piece of plastic that is slightly flexible but very durable while remaining super lightweight. As someone with a lot of body mods in the form of tattoos and piercings, it’s important to me that I use high quality materials that will last if cared for properly, all my earring hardware is made of high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel from a local Australian business, I now also stock sterling silver for those of us that have severe metal allergies and can swap hardware on request. All clay pieces can also be made into clip-ons on request :)
Please be gentle with your jewellery/pins. Each piece is handmade with polymer clay and while they are durable and resilient, they aren’t indestructible. – sleep safely; always take off your earrings before bed to ensure they stay in pristine condition – keep dry; to maintain the quality of the steel findings, please remove before showers/baths/pool visits – exercise caution; it’s best to remove any accessories before physical activities to avoid damage – beauty prep; please wait till perfume/makeup are fully dry before wearing

Lil Dittis

Whimsical accessories for everyone

I’ve always loved jewellery and grew up watching mum get ready to go out and pick something that would match her outfit out of her collection, as I grew up I learned how to bead and string jewellery and eventually how to polish and maintain things for her and I found so much enjoyment in it. When I moved to Australia and came out as bisexual and got to dress myself in the ways that made me comfortable in my own skin, I wanted to make jewellery that I wanted to wear but couldn’t seem to find. Lil’ Ditti’s started as a lockdown hobby and has grown into my small business baby. I create in the loud colours that I love to wear and get to showcase all my interests and aesthetics through the jewellery I make. Polymer clay has no limits on what it can be used to create and I love the flexibility the medium provides. I make everything by hand in my little home office that has had the full bunnings makeover so every piece has been made by these two hands and a lot of love.
