It took me two weeks to finish this drawing of some Australian football players; this drawing is set on the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). I have to admit in the beginning I didn’t fall in love automatically with the game. I am Latin-American and what we call football is a pretty different sport. However, as the time has passed, I have fallen in love with AFL. It is a pretty great game, very competitive and such a big feature of Melbourne. You can’t think about Melbourne without thinking also about AFL. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is the third biggest stadium in the world with a capacity for 100,024 spectators only surpassed by Rungrado 1st of May stadium in North Korea and the Stadium of the University of Michigan in the USA. The two teams depicted in the drawing are Melbourne Football Club which was stablished 1858 and Collingwood Football Club stablished in 1892. For the realisation of this drawing I used a few different pictures on the internet and also Google Street. No ruler was used in the completion of this piece.
