My journey with Amerlay Jewelry begins with a deeply personal inspiration—the names of my beloved cats, Emerald and Alalay, merging to form the brand’s name. During COVID pandemic, I stumbled upon documentaries about Myanmar jade, igniting a passion within me for this stone. However, I soon realized that the conventional jade jewelry available in the market didn’t quite align with contemporary fashion tastes. Determined to bridge this gap, I set out to create innovative jade jewelry that marries the timeless allure of jade with modern elegance. Immersing myself in online tutorials and experimenting tirelessly, I developed a unique style that seamlessly incorporates freshwater pearls with jade, creating pieces that speak to the essence of contemporary fashion. Encouraged by the positive reception, I resolved to expand my skill set and delve deeper into the art of jewelry making. Venturing into silversmithing, I embarked on a journey of learning and growth, mastering advanced techniques such as stone setting, soldering, and gold plating.
