How this item was made

Koala Paper Quilling jewellery are made entirely by hand using paper quilling techniques and processes. Paper quilling is an artisanal craft that requires thin paper strips to be modelled, twirled and curled into shapes, and glued together to create decorations and accessories. As part of the creation process, I prefer to draw quick sketches on paper, to outline the layout of the product (earrings, necklace etc.) and understand how much material is needed for that piece. Then I start modelling the required strips of paper into colourful and playful shapes, such as rectangles, circles, squares and more. Last but not least, I glue all the required shapes together and mount them on jewellery supports, such as earring hooks, as required.

Product Care

Koala Paper Quilling jewellery are durable and resistant. However, there are a few tricks to take care for your paper quilling jewellery: – Make sure to store them in a dry place – Keep them away from water (after all, they’re paper!). Remove jewellery before showering or swimming. – Remove jewellery before going to bed or exercising, to avoid breaking or damaging. – Should your paper quilling earrings get stuck to clothes or hair, gently try to remove them without cutting.
