Ms. Whimsy is the outcome of creator Lucy’s appreciation for beautiful fabrics and designs and a love of sewing. Lucy soon realized that if she sold her bags, she could buy more fabric, and if she bought more fabric, then she could sew more bags….and so the cycle began. What started in her kitchen when she was living in Washington DC, and the kids were asleep, the demand from the local moms for her tote bags (these bags hold everything and they are machine washable = super practical) fueled Lucy’s craving for sewing, and the light bulb went off – Ms. Whimsy was born. Always keen to explore innovative ideas and options and to test her sewing chops, Lucy soon introduced make-up bags and clutches to her range, and from there the collection continued to grow. Although the main business focus has been on creating beautiful bags, Lucy does like to explore other creative ideas, and has been known to dabble in macrame and creating soft textile homewares. Whether it be the classic tote, a handbag, or a large makeup bag, you can be assured that each piece is beautifully handcrafted and constructed with the highest quality materials.
