About Sterling Silver Jewellery
Sterling silver is defined as metal alloy consisting of 92.5% by weight of pure silver ( which in this state is too soft & malleable for use in jewellery design ) and 7.5% by weight of other metals, usually copper. The copper makes the silver much more durable & easy to work with. All sterling silver used in my work has been reclaimed & is sustainable. Reclaimed sterling silver is where old or broken pieces of jewellery have been taken & impurities removed from the alloy & it is reused.
Please do not spray perfume or any lotions on to the silver or any part of the jewellery item, do not wear during sport, showering, swimming or sleeping. Clean regularly with a silver polishing cloth provided. You should always store your jewellery item in the box provided or a suitable storage system where your pieces will not become tangled or lay upon on another.
