Hi there! I’m Em, an illustrator, designer and artist working my home studio here in Naarm. My Ngiyampaa/Ngemba, Dutch and Irish ancestry, as well as my personal occult and spiritual practices, heavily inspire and guide my work; full of nostalgic and familiar nature, spirit, magic, mystery and folklore that makes you feel warm, comfy and as if your inner child is being nurtured and cared for. My work was born out of the idea of nature being a living and breathing entity that we are in constant reciprocity and symbiosis with, as well as all the magical spirits and energies we find when we take the time to notice them.I love all things letters; with typography, type design and lettering running through my blood (thanks mum and grandad). I also loves animals, fairies, flowers, plants, the smell of books and magazines, Ghibli films, cartoons, playing Super Smash Bros, covering every possible surface with stickers and cooking and eating Mexican food and ramen.
