I always find it funny when I tell people I have aphantasia, which means I don’t have a mind’s eye and can’t “Picture it”. This means my process always starts with me trawling the web for a boatload of references. Then I sit at my desktop, throw on an animated series I’ve seen before, some breakcore, and pull up Procreate on my trusty iPad. From there, I let the vibes take me wherever. Funnily enough, this process hasn’t wavered since I was a teenager studying animation all those years ago! Nice to know that despite everything, it’s still me.
