Design

Dumpling, Egg, Gingerbread Person, Candy Cane

By day, I’m a graphic designer that specialises in food branding and packaging. I expand my passion for food beyond that with my food illustrations that are drawn digitally. My work is usually really bold and colourful, I love making food and food occasions exciting. Eating is something we all do everyday and I love to celebrate it through colour. When I’m not on the screen, I love getting my hands dirty and making polymer clay pieces. I love the shift to something tactile that has a process that can’t doesn’t allow you to “undo” or “delete”, it has taught me patience and how to create with meaning.

Food and Lifestyle Illustration

Hi, I’m JJ Tsan (say it like: jay-jay-san) and I have a little food mart full of delicious food-themed stationery! Food is my number one passion as it brings so many people together and is often the go-to love language in Asian cultures. Food and the act of eating a meal is something that is both so unique to a person but also such a universal ritual. I love to celebrate food through illustration and cementing them in all types of things such as prints, stickers, washi tape and key chains. I also hand-make clay food products that are one of a kind, I believe art should also be fun and wearable!
