Hello, my name is Clare and I first picked up a crochet hook in 2014 – since then I’ve been hooked! Eventually it wasn’t enough to make things on my own, I created 53stitches and shared my work with the crochet community. I love turning the things I see in the world around me into their cutest and cuddliest version with crochet. The more I designed my own patterns, the more I realised I also love connecting with and teaching other crocheters how to make their own versions – and so my YouTube channel and crochet kits were born. I try to teach the way I’d like to learn, and design the style of plushie I love to see – so I hope that comes across in my work and you can share the joy of cute and cuddly crafts with me! All of my finished plushies and crochet kits are designed and packed here in my home in Brisbane.
