@artbylizardyu‘Food Court, Saturday 12:55pm’ is a playful depiction of a food court, a place that is usually considered rather mundane and uninspiring. The idea arose from observing Melbourne Central food court one afternoon, and noticing the lively, peculiar energy of the groups of people gathered or passing through. It was more than just a space for eating- it was a meeting place for friends, a place to laugh and to be oblivious to the world around you, a haven for ravenous and worn-out shoppers, a chaotic party pit stop for an amalgamation of people. It’s a juiced-up view of an ordinary scene and a joyous place in my eyes. Dimensions 30.5cm × 41cmMediums Acrylic on canvas
