Description

At last… a washable denim and upholstery handbag handcrafted from deadstock fabric.  It’s fun and it’s stylish.  It’s 36 cm wide and 21 cm long, with a 4 cm wide handles (30cm long).  Designed comfort and function, for the strength to hold your everyday essentials, this handbag is fabulous.

Enjoy the best of denim jeans – 1 full size back pocket on the outside, and 1 front pocket and 1 back pocket on the inside.  The metal toothed 45 cm zip is the component that’s new, not preloved.  A denim waist band is reimagined as handles.  And there’s more – this bag is lined with Reversabub offcuts of midweight tan cotton.

The best part?  That deadstock upholstery fabric!

It’s a functional fabulous addition to your wardrobe.

I upcycle natural fibres – silk, fine cotton, wool. Too many of these gorgeous fabrics end up in landfill, and its hugely satisfying to salvage a few to turn them into something someone will treasure. I source fabrics from op shops and from customers who are decluttering. The longest part of my process is the reimagining – which fabrics work best together, what creation works best for them, and what do my customers tell me they need/enjoy.
WASH Gentle hand wash in cool water, rinse carefully, and do not wring or twist DRY Dry flat on a towel in the shade IRON If you must! Use a cool iron DO NOT Tumble dry, dry clean, or bleach
